Hypofibrinogenemia, mainly associated with severe liver disease, and excessive consumption of fibrinogen (DIC, hyperfibrinolysis).

Numerous variants of fibrinogen described, associated to asymptomatic cases, or to cases with bleeding and/or thrombosis.
