We are pleased to announce that our frozen CRYOcheck™ deficient plasma with normal VWF levels is now available CE marked. Unlike other artificial FVIII deficient plasmas, it does not contain any FVIII antigen that may absorb inhibitors. Therefore, false low results in Nijmegen-Bethesda assays are avoided. The importance of FVIII antigen levels in the performance of FVIII deficient substrates in Nijmegen-Bethesda assays was demonstrated in a poster presented at the ISTH congress 2021¹.
Further features and benefits of our new deficient plasma:
CRYOcheck™ Factor FVIII Deficient Plasma with VWF, frozen (25x1 or 25x1.5 mL)
- Frozen, buffered, immunodepleted
- Ready to use, no reconstitution errors and faster preparation time
- FVIII Antigen <1% (compared to substantial amounts in other commercially available FVIII deficient plasmas with vWF)
- Contains normal levels of vWF antigen and activity (>50%)
- Screened negative for the presence of FVIII inhibitors
- 24-hour stability once thawed when maintained at 2 to 8°C
- Compact packaging for space-saving storage (at -40 to -80°C)
